Welcome to the Chogye Jamchen Buddhist Centre
Chogye Jamchen Choe Dzong (Fortress of Loving Kindness), Jamchen Buddhist Centre, is a non-profit Tibetan Buddhist association of the Sakya Tradition that aims to further the study and practice of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. Meditation techniques are based on the historical methods taught in ancient times by the great masters.
The Centre's spiritual director and teacher, His Eminence Zimwock Rinpoche, is the sixth reincarnation of the Maha Siddha Dakpo Tashi Namgyal (1511-1587).

Retreat - Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction
A three-day Meditation Retreat with John Julian and Venerable Freeman Trebilcock on the Mornington Peninsula
Labour Day Long Weekend: Friday 9 March – Monday 12 March 2012.
Jamchen’s annual residential meditation retreat this year will be on Mindfulness meditation for stress reduction, with teachings on The Four Immeasurables.
Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction derives from Buddhist mindfulness and teaches you the skills to mobilize your mind and body so you can cope more effectively with everyday stress, anxiety, chronic pain and depression.
This retreat will be led by specialist mental health therapist and trainer John Julian, with Buddhist teachings on The Four Immeasurables by Venerable Freeman Trebilcock.

The “Silent abider" taught by Zimwock Rinpoche is specifically developed to teach to focus on what is traditionally known as Shepa (to transform into space of wisdom and clarity of light "which is known as Rigpa")

With your generous assistance we were able to offer 5.000 $ to the areas in Tibet affected by natural disaster during 2010. These funds were generated during the Snow Lion Festival in October 2010. We therefore with folded Hands are genuinely thankful for your help and the assistance you provided to those in need. Your prayers had been heard and touched the heart of those in dire need. All funds raised were allocated directly to those individuals in need in the Tibet disaster area with the assistance of the Dalai Lama's aid organisation.
JBC Members and volunteers are welcome to participate and contribute in helping to organize activities during such major events. Together we can save this planet and other living beings and that makes existential "life worthy".
